As superintendent of J S Morton High School District 201 in Illinois, Michael Kuzniewski has worked to improve the district’s school system since obtaining his position in 2010. In his current role, Michael Kuzniewski has implemented a number of curriculum developments such as improving advanced placement programs that prepare students for college and changing the requirements for students to take AP courses. He has also created a professional development program and facilities plan.
Kuzniewski first became involved with the Illinois educational system when he served as principal of the Villa Park School District 45. Later, he functioned as principal of West View High School in Rockford, Illinois, and afterwards, as executive director of research, federal programs, and grants of the Rockford School District 205.
Earlier in his career, Michael Kuzniewski taught physical education and health at Safety Harbor Middle School in Safety Harbor, Florida, and graduate courses in communications and supervision at Nova Southeastern University.
